Happy Weight FAQ’s
How do I take this? Can I mix it in a smoothie?
Absolutely. You can mix it into a smoothie, or add it to rice milk, almond milk, some juice, or just plain old water!
Do you take this alone? Without food?
Yes, ideally it replaces one meal a day – either breakfast or lunch. However, it can be used to replace dinner as well.
Can I mix this with Happy Hormones?
Yes, you can mix them together in a drink or a smoothie.
How long does it last?
Happy Weight contains 20 servings per sachet. That will last approximately 3 weeks if you take one serving per day.
How much fat does it contain?
0.28g per 25g serving, which is 1.12g per 100g
The sugar seems quite high?
It’s just the breakdown of complex carbohydrates. There’s no added sugar, so it would be fine if you have candida. Most other formulas contain actual sugar sweeteners in the form of fructose, maltodextrin and sucrose. Happy weight is free from any artificial sweeteners.
But isn’t sugar, just sugar? What’s the difference?
Sugars in a health supplement can be calculated from the complex & simple carbohydrate ingredients, which ultimately break down into glucose (a type of natural sugar). But these sugars also have other beneficial components. These are generally considered good for your body.
Whereas refined sugar, used as a sweetener, has no nutritional value & may have negative effects when consumed in large quantities.
Can men take this as well, or is it just for women?
Absolutely! It’s for both men and women.
Are the B vitamins methylated for MTFHR gene people?
They’re not, but they’re in small enough amounts so we have found them not to be an issue especially since there is the digestive enzyme Bromelain to assist with digestion.
I noticed it’s got fructooligosaccharides – will that be a problem if I have fructose malabsorption?
Potentially it could. It may depend on the severity of the malabsorption & any reactions. Generally speaking, it’s recommended to avoid foods rich in fructans and other fermentable oligo-, di- and mono-saccharides and polyols, including artichokes, asparagus, leeks, onions, and wheat-containing products, including bread, cakes, biscuits, breakfast cereals, pies, pasta, pizza, and wheat noodles.
Is the prebiotic fibre low FODMAP?
In our experience, the fermented grains in the formula will consume the FOS. That’s why they are there. One of the key claims for the health benefits of fermented foods is their contribution of live ‘good’ microbes – to the existing colonies in the gut. Fermented foods may increase micronutrient levels by supporting healthy bacteria colonisation. Some bacteria can increase levels of vitamins in food, especially B vitamins.
Is it ok to use if I have Hashimoto’s?
Yes, it’s fine. Whenever there are complicated medical conditions & you have any concerns, we recommend speaking with your healthcare professional, prior to commencing any healthcare program.
There is no added sodium. It’s just the natural sodium content of the ingredients.
How much caffeine from the green tea and coffee?
The formula only contains 0.6% of Green Tea & Green Coffee Extracts. It’s kept deliberately low so it gives a mild thermogenic effect, without overstimulating anyone.
Would the caffeine have a detrimental effect on adrenal fatigue?
The caffeine in Green Tea and Green Coffee is offset by the catechines. So it’s fine for people looking to regulate or improve their adrenal function.
I’ve heard pea protein is hard for some people to break down?
That’s why we have a lot of digestive support elements. Pea proteins can be very easy to digest and comparable to the best animal protein source. Laboratory tests on Pea Proteins demonstrated at least a 90% digestibility rate in humans. Animal experiments showed as high as 97.8% digestibility. Pea Protein also delivers you a good source of beneficial amino acids.
As recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) — the pea protein essential amino acid profile is very close to ideal for human nutrition.
Like many using these products I have a sometime sensitive and often temperamental gut and the Happy Weight mix deals so well with my needs. No adverse reactions or after effects! Yay.
Delicious tasting too
I love the chocolate HW. I use it with almond milk, frozen banana & a mixture of seeds. I use it daily for lunch or after snack. I look forward to my daily serving. I wish it came in 1 kg bags.. 500 doesn’t last long enough. :)
I purchased Happy Weight Mixed Berry flavour. I absolutely love it. It tastes great & mixes really well. I replace breakfast with HappyWeight and I don’t feel hungry at all.
I hated the taste of this, which is funny because I normally can have anything. I’m not sure why it tastes like sour vanilla protein powder. It’s not a great experience to
Drink and does not keep me full. The powder is very fine.
I haven’t use it for long but I like its taste and that it dissolves quickly in my milk
I really like this product, although I think they have changed the taste slightly, it is not as vanilla tasting. This product does not bloat me and goes well with smoothies.
I use it everyday.
I love all the HHY products I use. The HW Berry unfortunately did not suit my sensitive gut and caused me severe constipation. The product tastes good, mixes in well and seems good overall , just not for me :(
Not for me, tastes horrible
Really like it. Tastes good in morning smoothy and keeps me full all morning.
I was really surprised by the texture and taste of this product, it’s delicious, not grainy at all and doesn’t have an overpowering Stevia taste. Tastes wonderful blended with plant milk and banana, add spinach for some extra greens. Is also great on its own with water. Really happy with this purchase.
