WHAT IS YOUR
HAPPY WEIGHT?

Calories In, Calories Out

The basic mechanism for weight gain is more calories in than calories out. So reducing overall calorie intake by replacing one meal a day is good. But we made that meal a healthy one, that takes into account some of the blocks to losing weight.

Important Elements

Fermented grains with FOS for healthy gut bacteria; psyllium to improve regularity; thermogenic ingredients for a gentle metabolic boost, while not overstimulating you; liver support & digestive enzymes; B vitamins to support hormone metabolism.

Designed for You

It’s vegan, gluten free, dairy free and additive free. The protein comes from organic vegetarian sources of pea & brown rice. It has an alkaline balance. It's free from artificial sweeteners, flavours, colours & preservatives… And it tastes great!

The sugar seems quite high?

It’s just the breakdown of complex carbohydrates. There’s no added sugar, so it would be fine if you have candida.

But isn’t sugar, just sugar? What’s the difference?

Sugars in a health supplement can be calculated from the complex & simple carbohydrate ingredients, which ultimately breakdown into glucose (a type of natural sugar). But these sugars also have other beneficial components. These are generally considered good for your body.

Whereas refined sugar, used as a sweetener, has no nutritional value & may have negative effects when consumed in large quantities.

Can men take this as well, or is it just for women?

Absolutely! It’s for both men and women!

Sodium content

There is no added sodium. It’s just the natural sodium content in the ingredients.

Are the B vitamins methylated for people with the MTFHR gene?

They’re not, but they’re in small enough amounts so we have found them not to be an issue, especially since Happy Weight contains the digestive enzyme Bromelain to assist with digestion.

I'm MTHFR, would this be ok for me?

Yes, it’s fine. Whenever there are complicated medical conditions & you have any concerns, we recommend speaking with your healthcare professional, prior to commencing any healthcare program.

Is the prebiotic fibre low FODMAP?

It’s our opinion that the fermented grains in the formula will consume the FOS. That’s why they are there. One of the key claims for the health benefits of fermented foods is their contribution of live ‘good’ microbes – to the existing colonies in the gut. Fermented foods may increase micronutrient levels by supporting healthy bacteria colonisation. Some bacteria can increase levels of vitamins in food, especially B vitamins.

I noticed it has fructo-ogliosacharides – will that be a problem if I have fructose malabsorption?

Potentially it could. It may depend on the severity of the malabsorption & any reactions. Generally speaking, it’s recommended to avoid foods rich in fructans and other fermentable oligo-, di- and mono-saccharides and polyols, including artichokes, asparagus, leeks, onions, and wheat-containing products, including breads, cakes, biscuits, breakfast cereals, pies, pastas, pizzas, and wheat noodles.

I’ve heard pea protein is hard for some people to break down?

That’s why we have a lot of digestive support elements. Pea proteins can be very easy to digest and comparable to the best animal protein source. Laboratory tests on Pea Proteins demonstrated at least a 90% digestibility rate in humans. Animal experiments showed as high as 97.8% digestibility. Pea Protein also delivers you a good source of beneficial amino acids. As recommended by Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) — the pea protein essential amino acid profile is very close to ideal for human nutrition.

How much caffeine from the green tea and coffee?

The formula only contains 0.6% of Green Tea & Green Coffee Extracts. It’s kept deliberately low so it gives a mild thermogenic effect, without overstimulating anyone. An average cup of coffee contains between 95-165mg of caffeine. An average cup of black tea contains between 25-48mg of caffeine. Quantities can vary depending on quality of coffee/tea & methods used.

Would the caffeine have a detrimental effect on adrenal fatigue?

The caffeine in Green Tea and Green Coffee is offset by the catechines. So it’s fine for people looking to regulate or improve their adrenal function.
