Nut & Seed Crackers

By: Sally James
Nut & Seed Crackers
Delicious crackers you can use for lunch, snacks or add to your cheese, olive and dip platter.

Method

  1. In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients, stirring well.
  2. Whisk maple syrup, oil and water together in a measuring cup. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix very well until everything is completely soaked and dough becomes very thick. (If the dough is too thick to stir, add 1 or 2 teaspoons of water until the dough is manageable.)
  3. Divide the dough roughly in half and set aside one half. Place the other half of the dough back into the bowl and add any flavouring suggestion you like.
  4. Gather into a ball and place it between 2 sheets of baking paper. Using a rolling pin, firmly roll out into a thin sheet. Remove the top layer of the baking paper and using the tip of a knife, gently score the dough into shapes you like (triangles or squares are good). Repeat with the remaining half of the dough.
  5. Let it sit out on the counter for 2 hours, or all day or night.
  6. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Using the baking paper, slide the dough onto a baking paper sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Flip the whole cracker over (you can use another sheet of baking paper on top to do this) - if it breaks a little don't worry - and peel the baking paper off the back.
  7. Return to the oven to bake for another 10 minutes, until fully dry, crisp and golden around the edges. Let cool completely, then break the crackers along their scored lines and store into an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.

Extra Notes

Optional flavourings to add to the dough:

  • Rosemary, Garlic & Smoked Salt (quantity is for half a batch of crackers)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (less if you don't want a pungent tasting cracker) and smoked sea salt, to taste.
  • Fig, Anise & Black Pepper (quantity is for half a batch of crackers)
3 large dried figs, 1 teaspoon anise seed, 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper.

You know when you run out

If you don’t hear thunder claps or see glittering unicorns, it doesn’t mean nothings happening.I don’t feel the big revelations I hear others talking about. That said, HH and HG do make me feel better. I thought that I didn’t feel much different so I let it go. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I definitely felt it when I ran out. Sometimes we just don’t miss a thing till it’s gone.

Happy Hormones

A friend recently asked me how I was going using Happy Hormones and my response was so true - you don't really notice the gradual improvement while you are taking it but you really notice the overall improvement when you miss a few days.
The improvement that HH provides is actually quite impressive and I really notice it when I miss my tablets for a few days in a row.
A big improvement in my moods and more importantly in my 'reactiveness' to situations (including my husband and children).
I love that this product is all natural and supports my body in naturally returning to the right balance for me.

Let's Get Happy

Can't wait to get started. I've heard good things and I thought maybe I needed some help in balancing myself.

Lets me feel like me again

Struggling with menopause is not fun. My husband does not understand and thinks this is just me but I know different. HH helps me control my anger outbursts, sleep through the night and control those awful hot flushes. Thanks for such a great product

Excited

Have just placed my order. Hope my results are as good as all the others.
