Learn More About How MSP and Happy Collagen Assist Bone Health
MSP assists with the down regulation of inflammation
MSP assists with the down regulation of inflammation in the body due to the active inclusions of boswellia and turmeric. Both of these herbs work specifically on certain inflammatory pathways in the body. When we work on our inflammatory levels in the body, pressure is taken away from important structures like our bones!
Magnesium deficiency has also been shown to increase osteoclasts and decrease osteoblast formation, by incorporating magnesium in the form of MSP, we see an increase in bone protective and enhancing mechanisms of action in the body.
Magnesium has also been shown to have a positive impact on joint health, and we know that when the joint is happy so are our bones!
Collagen is an essential supplement for women in menopause
Oestrogen is required for healthy bones - this makes menopausal women further predisposed to osteopenia or osteoporosis. Approximately 34%* of women are diagnosed with osteoporosis post-menopause.
Collagen is a structural protein found in bones and is an essential supplement for women in menopause given the lowered oestrogen production.
Collagen peptides show osteoprotective (bone protective) effects on bone health, particularly, the retention of calcium and upregulation of bone remodeling processes.
Collagen amino acid structures provide essential benefits to bone development as they trigger new bone cells to be made from bone marrow.

What Is Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a progressive disease involving excessive bone loss and decreased bone density. Osteoporosis results in less bone – and what bone is left is lighter and more porous, leading to an increased risk of bone fractures, which can be debilitating. Bones are living tissues which grow and continue to renew themselves throughout life regardless of age.
Osteoporosis is a condition where bone resorption outpaces bone deposition. It is mainly due to depletion of calcium from the body when more calcium is lost in urine, faeces and sweat than is absorbed from the diet.
