Panax notoginseng is an effective remedy for heavy bleeds.
Angelica polymorphica is both a general tonic, anti-inflammatory and a uterine tonic.
Shatavari is both a general tonic and a female reproductive tonic. It helps us adapt to stress and is antispasmodic so is great for period pain.
Raspberry leaf is considered a uterine tonic and is used for heavy and painful bleeds.
Paeony is commonly used for PMS and PCOS. It’s an ovulation normaliser which in turn makes it a menstrual cycle regulator.
Maca is excellent for energy, stress and for increasing libido. It is a potent antioxidant.
Passiflora is traditionally used for stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Gymnema is an antidiabetic herb and is helpful in healing the pancreas. Insulin issues are common with PCOS and perimenopause.
Licorice is anti-inflammatory, helps us adapt to stress, move our bowels and heals the digestive tract.
Wild Yam normalises our oestrogen, helps with gassiness. It’s also used for muscular spasms or pain during our period.

HOW LONG CAN I TAKE HAPPY PERIOD FOR?
Happy Period can be taken continuously until your period balances and you experience healthy, pain free periods. This may take 3 to 6 cycles to occur so be kind to your body and let Happy Period create a new sense of balance.
Can I take Happy Period along with contraception?
Yes. Actually Happy Period was formulated specifically to be taken with hormonal contraceptives and not influence the effectiveness. Hormonal contraceptives are often prescribed to treat period symptoms however they do not balance hormones. Happy Period can support what hormonal contraceptives do and reduce the side effects associated. If you do not need the hormonal contraceptives for contraception, give Happy Period a few months and then our practitioner team can assist you to transition off them.
Is there anything else I should consider to develop a healthy period?
There are many other things for you to consider. Happy Period is just a catalyst to help your body regulate it’s hormone levels and cycle. Improving your diet will help Happy Period work. Increasing fibre and fermented foods improve your clearance of hormones via the liver and bowels which is very important as part of the overall holistic approach to healthy periods.
Can I take Happy Period if I take anti-anxiety or depression medications?
Yes you can however always consult with your doctor or our practitioner team before starting.
