Happy Greens Kefir

If you’ve been curious about fermented drinks, this Happy Greens Kefir is a simple place to start. Made with just coconut water and Happy Greens, it develops a natural fizz and a refreshing tang during fermentation. It is light, slightly bubbly, and a lovely way to include more variety in your daily routine. You’re going to love how easy it is to prepare at home.

How to Brew It

  1. Prepare a clean one-litre glass bottle with a tight lid.

  2. Pour in coconut water and Happy Greens, leaving some space at the top.

  3. Seal the bottle and place it on the bench for two to four days, away from direct sunlight.

  4. Check daily for bubbles, which show it is fermenting. Open the lid each day to release gas, then reseal.

  5. Once it is lightly fizzy, transfer to the fridge.

  6. Add grated ginger or a few berries for extra flavour if you like.
