How to Make It

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking tray.

  2. Slice okra either lengthways or into rounds, depending on your texture preference.

  3. In a large bowl, gently coat the slices with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper.

  4. Arrange the pieces in a single layer on your tray, giving them space to crisp.

  5. Bake for 10–15 minutes, then turn each piece and bake for another 10–15 minutes. Keep an eye on thickness — thinner slices crisp faster.

  6. Remove once golden and crunchy, then place on a paper towel to cool.

  7. Store leftovers in the fridge. They’ll soften slightly but can be reheated for extra crunch.
